Firetronik fire extinguisher services cover the following servicing points:
'Appropriate'

Since the extinguisher was installed, there may have been changes to the configuration or use of the building that makes the type of extinguisher no longer inappropriate.

'Tamper'

Extinguishers can be accidentally or maliciously tampered with, particularly if sited in public places with high footfall. We check the pin and tag each extinguisher, investigating further and making recommendations to prevent future tampering.

'Pressure'

The pressure gauge indicates if there is an issue with high/low pressure. Pressure issues can be dangerous, so we flag any potential issues. We also check for a gauge that may be stuck, providing a false reading.

'Blockages'

We check the fire extinguisher hose for signs of damage and obstruction, replacing the O ring as appropriate and ensuring correct function.

'Damage'
We check for any damage to the extinguisher body, handle and hose, the legibility of the description on the body and anything else which could compromise its safety, reliability, efficiency and its fitness for purpose.

'Corrosion'
Fire extinguishers can become corroded over time, particularly if situated in harsh environments, exposed to moisture, heat or UV radiation. We thoroughly check fire extinguishers for any signs of compromised safety.

'Weight'
We weigh extinguishers and record the details on each service to ensure that they have not lost over 10% of their mass. This could indicate that they have been used or the presence of another issue.

'Mounting'
Fire extinguishers must be correctly mounted on a bracket or stand. We ensure that this is the case or will take remedial action.

'Signage'
Appropriate identification signage mounted above the fire extinguisher should be in place to describe the type of extinguisher and its uses. We will check your signage to ensure it has not become damaged over time or even removed.
